Der Ventral SPIN Rennradhelm setzt neue Maßstäbe in Sachen Aerodynamik, Ventilation und Sicherheit. Sein einzigartiges Design macht ihn zum schnellsten Helm, den POC je entwickelt hat – auch dank der Mithilfe des Cannondale-Drapac ProCycling Teams, der Aerodynamik-Sepzialisten des hauseigenen WATTS Lab sowie unzähliger CFD-Simulationen und Tests. Das spezielle Design des Ventral leitet die Luft durch den Helm hindurch anstatt um ihn herum. Dies reduziert den Sog hinter dem Helm und erhöht so die Aerodynamik. Außerdem besitzt der Ventral SPIN eigene, im EPS eingelassene Zonen für einen optimierten Luftstrom. Die durch den sogenannten Venturi-Effekt erzeugte Druckdifferenz aus maximalem dynamischen und minimalem statischen Druck, erhöht die Strömungsgeschwindigkeit der Luft und sorgt dadurch für eine bessere Aerodynamik. Die Zonen für den Luftstrom haben zusätzlich den Effekt, dass sie den Kopf kühlen, was widerrum dem Träger und dessen Performance zugute kommt. Der Luftfluss, der durch bzw. um den Helm herum geleitet wird, wird von der speziellen Form des Ventral begünstigt: Der "Spoiler" am Hinterkopfbereich reduziert Verwirbelungen und sorgt gleichzeitig für einen längeren linearen Luftfluss nach hinten. Um seiner Mission gerecht zu werden entwickelt POC seine Helme immer im Hinblick auf den gesamten Helm, also dem Zusammenspiel aller Materialien und Features. Trotz seines leichten Gewichts verfügt der Ventral SPIN über eine sichere Unibody-Konstruktion und einen EPS-Kern, der eine perfekte Balance zwischen Gewicht und Sicherheit darstellt. SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) ist POC's zum Patent angemeldete Silikonpad-Technologie, die innovative Materialien verwendet, welche im Zusammenspiel mit Kern und Schale die Schutzwirkung steigert.
